Founded in 1990 in the UK, Codelocks specialize in stand alone coded access control locks for commercial and domestic applications worldwide.
A new distribution center was opened in California in January 2004 which is responsible for Codelocks sales throughout the Americas. A new factory was opened in Southern China in Autumn 2004, which in addition to giving the company greater control of quality, costs and efficiency, has provided the opportunity of sales to China and the other Asian markets.
In 2006 Codelocks UK moved to new premises in Newbury, Berkshire enabling us to house all staff under one roof, incorporating an extensive warehouse operation to enhance further, customer service, delivery and after sales support. Access Control – Simple and Easy - Folger Adam
In 1880, William J. Adam founded Adam Steel and Wire Works in Illinois, producing ornamental fencing and grillwork. His son Folger later changed the company name to Folger Adam and focused on manufacturing detention cells.In the early 20th century, Folger Adam expanded it operations and assembled a wide variety of mechanical locks and locking hardware. After World War II, the company developed new electromechanical locks, including electric strikes to meet a rising demand for detention hardware, and acquired other companies experienced in the field.

Based on the original 1000 series electric strike introduced in 1976, the 1006 Series is the strongest and most versatile available. With 27 faceplate options, the 1006 accommodates virtually every lockset on the market.
The 9600 Genesis™ was the first electric strike that is completely surface-mounted, with all components encased – requiring no cuts to the jamb prior to installation.
The 9500 Genesis™, the fire rated version of the 9600, was released in 2003.
Also introduced in 2003, the 4500 electric strike was the first electric strike designed for penetration in 2” UL 10C fire rated frames with the required ½“ drywall penetration.
Continuing to lead the industry, in 2005, HES introduced the 5200 series of electric strikes, offering unparalleled adaptability for installers, as well as the 660 electric cabinet lock, a surface mounted electric cabinet door and drawer lock with over 1,000 lbs. of holding force.
